Hot take: Shoes in the house is justified IF you have hardwood floors, if you have carpets yeah wear socks or go barefoot, but if you have hardwood floors, you feel all of the dirt and hair on the floor no matter how much you clean it, with caret you don't feel all that so you shouldn't dirty the floors more with shoes.
